Emergency Status is RED: Classes are Canceled
Hours after lamenting the fact that we don't have snow days as it snowed ash across campus... classes have been cancelled due to the raging San Diego fires, as of 7:30 AM this morning. According to Tritonlink:
Current campus condition: Red: Emergency.

Oct. 22, 2007 7:30 a.m. UCSD campus is closed due to extremely poor air quality caused by regional wildfires. Classes are canceled for today. Essential personnel should check with their supervisor to determine if they should report to campus. This web page will be updated as new information becomes available.

There goes midterms schedule... but honestly, whaaaaat? Should we be packing our bags? People in Del Mar, which is 15 minutes away, are already being evacuated from their homes, and the fires have not been contained.
