Snow in October? Yup, That's Binghamton...

We’ve all been wondering when it would happen—the frigid winds, the flurries, shards of ice falling out of the sky, pelting the good people of Binghamton. Well, it’s here. There was no segue from the beautiful fall we’ve been so suspicious over. There was no warning—just cold gray skies and snow. Yup, snow in October. It’s the Binghamton we know and love.   (As a side note, as I write this, it is 6:00 pm and completely dark). This morning, I woke up to find a thin layer of snow dispersed about College-in-The-Woods. While the roads were clear and the snow melted before most commuters even arrived on campus, we still can’t help but come to terms with the possibility of a snow day, everyday.

This weather couldn’t come at a worse time. With the unusually high temperatures we’ve been experiencing, many students took this into consideration while shopping for Halloween costumes. And as we all know, for most girls, scantily clad is the look to go for. Lucky for us, according to Weather.com, it’s expected to be sunny and in the low 50s during the day. However, temperatures will drop in the 30s during our bewitching hours.

While we won’t have to worry about snow this weekend, it will definitely be freeeezing. So, I suggest you make like they did on the Titanic, top hats and brandy.
