Wesleyan Homecoming/ Family Weekend 2008

Wesleyan Homecoming/ Family Weekend 2008

This weekend is Wesleyan's annual Homecoming/ Family Weekend. As campus prepares for the onslaught of alumni, family, friends, neighbors and even pets, it seems that every aspect of campus is quickly being groomed for the occasion. Event tents have been erected, welcome signs put up, the heat turned on. Even Wesleyan's trees are now colored in a spectrum of fall shades. Some highlight events for the weekend include:

"Where on Earth Are We Going: The Many Psychologies of Global Warming Given the Hard Realities We Face" presented by William Blakemore '65, an ABC News television correspondent for 38 years.

The New York Times Magazine's "The Ethicist" Randy Cohen P'09 will host a conversation about his job, his life and his love of Wesleyan.

Actress Neva Small P'11 will present and perform about her role as Chava in the legendary movie Fiddler On The Roof.

The Stone and Stone brothers, Adam and Todd Stone '05 will regale the campus with jokes from their college past.

Benjamin Bernstein '10 wrote and directed Patterns of Inheritance, a modern opera about blogging and the role of the internet. Apparently, it's not to be missed, I know I'll be there!

And of course don't forget the biannual football game against our "Three Little Ivy" rival Amherst College.

I hope it's a great weekend for all!
