It’s also about every Wesleyan student’s second and third favorite subjects: gender roles and Freud.

Written by E.B. White and James Thurber, two of the greatest writers of the first half of the 20th century, this is a hilarious spoof of men, women, how-to sex books, Freud, and everyone else who tried to intellectualize sex.

Although it’s pretty tame and innocent by today’s standards (it was written in 1929), it’s a very interesting time capsule, and much of the humor still hits the mark.

It also gets people’s attention more than just about anything else you could bury your face in. Well, almost anything.
