Kanye West will star in an MTV show appropriately titled Choose or Lose & Kanye West Presents: Homecoming. The show, hosted by West and MTV’s Sway Calloway, is an inside look at the lives of young Iraq War veterans. The one-hour special focuses on the lives of three veterans – each facing their own post-war problems.

Both West and Calloway surprise the three veterans in their hometowns to celebrate their safe returning with a homecoming. The two sit and hear the traumatic experiences of what it was like to fight in an unknown land and have death constantly looming.  

The first of the three veterans is Lorenzo – a young newlywed veteran who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and who is about to become a father. Lorenzo finds himself falling deeper into depression and debt as his life continues to become more complicated.

The second is Shameeka – a young working mom who joined the Army primarily to get money for college. Now she is trying to dig herself out of the debt of school loans the Army was supposed to pay for.

The last veteran the show features is Tirann – a young veteran, also suffering from PTDS, who is forced to donate his blood twice a week to pay for rocketing gas prices and to help support his family. 

MTV and The Doctor Donda West Foundation (named after West's late mother) have combined forces and are changing the lives of these three young veterans forever. After the surprise visit from the international rap superstar, the vets are also ecstatic to learn that West and MTV will aid them in paying off their debts and help them put the pieces of their lives back together.
