Ridiculously Unsafe, Just Not Ridiculously Unsafe Enough
If the Herald is to be believed - and, hey, they seem to have the disaster and tragedy beat pretty well covered - the BU Bridge could soon collapse faster than John McCain's presidential campaign. Well, sort of.

They try to have it both ways here - reassuring the public that the bridge, though held together entirely by used condoms and chewing gum, is not on the verge of collapse while hinting that, well, you never can be too sure.

BU's Bridge didn't even crack the top 560 in the state's list of "structurally deficient." In our defense, CGS really weighs us down. But, seriously, considering the state of the thing, what would it take to be considered "structurally deficient," short of, say, it becoming an ex-bridge?
Until we find that out, I think I'll stick to Mass Ave. for getting to Cambridge.
