Middletown's lovable (and incorrigible) old Green Party promoter Vic wants you to vote. And vote Green. And challenge the two-party system. And understand the corruption of both the Democratic and Republican parties, to name a few things. He hangs out at Klekolo's coffee shop (near the intersection of Court and Main) and can often be seen on and around campus with his clipboard in hand, ready to sign-up Connecticut residents. Vic is an interesting person and can introduce you to other Greens in the area, if you're so politically inclined. Some Wesleyan students have even used Vic's contacts with the Green Party to bring speakers to campus.
Vic is also simply a great person to talk with about both national and local politics, provided you have a few hours to spare. Just kidding: if Vic's personality and his strong opinions about politics and social issues overwhelm you, you can easily excuse yourself by using the tried-and-true college student phrase, "Sorry, I have to go write a paper," or something to that extent. Vic will understand. (And the rest of the country will understand if you forego Vic's advice and vote for Barack.)
My final advice for the summer and next semester: Get off campus, forget about Pi Cafe, and hit one of Middletown's major social spots. You can almost always grab some fresh brewed coffee and good conversation at Klekolo World Coffee. Say hi to Vic for me.
