I've always wondered how some of the people that attend this school actually got in.  This question came up again while I was at the bar last night. A group of people were talking politics when one of the girls asked, "Hey I forgot, when does England have their presidential elections?"
  I was praying this individual was visiting from Michigan State, but I highly doubt that's the case. The point is that individuals lacking in what most consider basic knowledge are growing in number. According to an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education, the majority of students in any given classroom couldn't name the Secretary of Defense, any of the countries that border Israel, or even what decade the Civil War was in.
 So to the guy who asked me the other day whether this year's Olympics were in the summer or winter...it's ok...you're obviously not alone.
