Invisibility Cloaks Not So Imaginary, Scientists Prove

Invisibility Cloaks Not So Imaginary, Scientists Prove

No, this post won't reference the (super highly awaited) 6th Harry Potter movie. Instead, even cooler straight-from-Hogwarts news.

According to this CNN article, scientists in Berkeley, CA are getting close to creating an actual invisibility cloak, a la HP. Researchers have been able to cloak 3D objects using materials that redirect light around them to render them invisible to the eye. People see objects because of light that reflects back to the eye--cloaking uses special materials  to deflect radar, light & other waves around an object.

These unplottable and invisible objects are being researched hugely for military purposes, but imagine the possibility cloaks if invisibility cloaks were let loose at colleges!

The first thing I'd do is sneak into some fraternity chapter meetings and get all the juicy secret news. Next, the Vanderbilt Board of Trust meetings. And I'd definitely..borrow..a few bottles from Frugal Macdoogal's and some cranberry pecan bread sanwiches from Bread & Co.

What would you do?
