PSU Students Celebrate Obama Victory

Like they gathered to see Sen. Obama speak in front of Old Main eight months ago students gathered in front of the Penn State land mark once again to celebrate the end of the campaign season and an Obama victory.

About a thousand students gathered and shouted, cheered, and pumped their fists as election results came in.

Election night parties were held across the campus, including one hosted by the historically black sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, where students cheered and took to the streets as the results were pouring in.

Students marched from Stephens Hall to Pollock Road, where they crossed through Nittany Apartments, marched through East Halls, then West Halls and finished their trek on the steps of Old Main.

Throughout their procession, the students cheered and banged pots and pans.

On the steps the students joined together and shouted "Yes we did!"

"It's so amazing to see the camaraderie of Penn State students coming together," said one student.
