Yale Physics: Helping You Improve Your Golf Swing Since 1701
The New York Times recently posted a video about applied physics professor Robert Grober's extracurricular pastime - golf. During his time at at Bell Labs and Yale, Grober has been developing a device to help golfers with their swing by providing real time audio feedback that tracks the speed of their clubs.

This is a pretty cool invention. Hopefully, it'll be as popular as those vibrating broomsticks. And if not-- well, according to the article, the applied physics department has given Grober the "academic freedom" to work on his invention between classes in his lab. It's an excuse to play golf during work!
