"Drill Baby, Drill!" The T-Shirt That Offended John McCain

"Drill Baby, Drill!" The T-Shirt That Offended John McCain

During the third and final presidential debate, John McCain and Barack Obama pulled no punches.

Both candidates went on a all-out offensive, raising endless questions about each other’s political records, personal characters and smearing tactics. Obama accused McCain of sullying the presidential campaign with racist remarks, while McCain slammed Obama for allowing “hurtful” comments about him and Sarah Palin to go unchecked.

Of course, there was one particular offense McCain alluded to but stopped short of explaining: a lewd t-shirt made by an Obama supporter depicting him and his running mate in a compromising position.

Luckily for us, one auspicious tipster sent in a photograph of the t-shirt in question, which clearly drew some inspiration from the Republicans' favorite catchphrase “Drill Baby, Drill.” (Can you tell?)

No word yet on where one of these can be purchased, but I weep for anyone who buys one and actually wears it into public.

Uh, no. That's not the shirt McCain was referring to. He was talking about the now-infamous shirts calling Palin a "c*nt" worn at an Obama rally and featured on Obama's community site. Posted 10/18/2008 01:11 AMReply
