After I found this being plastered across the internet this morning, I felt it was my duty to help out the cause by posting it on OTR, the internet's premiere college site. Or so we tell ourselves.
The story is this, someone asked on a forum, "has anyoone ever survived a long distance relationship?" to which a girl replied about how she's been cheating on her boyfriend who goes into UCLA while she's been in Ohio. Several commenters didn't take to kindly to that.
I've transcribed the thread below in case you don't want to click on the NSFW screenshot at the bottom of the page. If you think you know who this unfortunate duo is, let us know. It's a girl from Ohio who has been dating a guy from UCLA for three years. Because really, wouldn't you want to know?
Question: has anyone ever survived a long distance relationship? HOW?
Slutty Girl: I've been in a long distance relationship for 3 years now. My bf goes to UCLA and I'm stuck in Ohio. In all honesty the key is deceit. I've slipped up a few times and messed around with other guys but I didn't tell my bf and what he doesn't know won't hurt him. Whatever you do, don't tell him/her about any 'mistakes" you make. It will be the end of a good thing!
Vigilant Commenter 1: Dear slut, I posted this to a few UCLA message boards I know. There can only be a few guys with 3-year relationships with a girl from Ohio at UCLA right? ****ing skank.
SG: If he asks me about it I can just say that I was telling everyone how happy we are and someone with sour grapes decided to sabotage me. This thread will 404 soon and the evidence will be gone forever. The OP asked about long distance relationships and I tried to help out. Why aren't you yelling at all the guys who cheated?
VC2: (deleted response)
SG: I'll say it's photoshopped. This is dumb. Please don't make me lie more than I need to or try to **** things up for me. He will believe me over a random picture from the internet and you're just being a dick now.
VC3: (deleted response)
SG: Wow you guys are asses. I just called my bf and UCLA doesn't even havea forum. I had to tell him I was up all night trying to find out if there was some other way for us to stay in contact. I have been sucessfully trolled and will def never risk outing myself again.
VC4: (deleted response....something about Juicy Campus)
SG: Thank god. I was still worried there was some halfway reputable forum that I didn't know about. Don't worry internet bully, I'm sure my boyfriend and all his friends regularly check that completely random, trashy site which apparently is the target of an anti-defamation suit.
VC5: (deleted response...something about taking screenshots)
SG: Juicycampus doesn't seem to allow posting pics. Have fun with your screenshots! Think I'll link my bf to the 4chan entry on encyclopediadramatica and tell him some random internet losers hacked my computer and are just trying to sabbotage us.
VC6: We're smarter than you, ******. You won't win.
SG: In a few months, I'll upload a pic of the engagement ring. If anything you guys just proved my point. Because he trusts me so much he'd believe anything I tell him about this rather than risk losing me. If I was open and honest with him from the beginning I'd be screwed. And you are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites because every third guy posted about how he loves cheating and you clapped them on the bag.
VC7: HEY OHIO SLUT AIM ME (DENOGOME) NEXT TIME YOU WANNA SLIP UP ILL BE READY
SG: 4 incidents in the past does not make me a slut.
VC8: Yes it does. One incident is a mistake. Anything more than that and you're just in it to win it. Especially if the future incidents are with the same guy as in the first.
SG: They were different guys. First time right after bf left I was really sad and looking for a friend and one of my friends from hs took things too far. I didn't talk to him for weeks after and we're only friends again now witih the understanding that it will never happen again
SG: 2 times it was drunk accidents.
SG: Once after a huge family fight I just left the house intending to never return. I went and stayed with an old friend from hs and between venting and reminiscing things went in the wrong direction. Like with the first guy, I didn't speak to him for weeks after and now we're friends again but it'll never happen again.
Think she deserves to get caught? Let's hear your thoughts and theories.

I think this guy would've found out about her cheatin' ways sooner or later (if only because she's bound to give him herpes...), and I wouldn't have initiated this search myself, but I find it hard to dredge up any sympathy for this chick. Posted 01/09/2009 5:32 PMReply
another website dedicated to finding her Posted 01/09/2009 10:29 PMReply
The girl isnt from Ohio.
The guy doesn't go to ucla.
the relationship has not been 3 years.
these details were fabricated to keep me from finding out. but i finally pieced everything together, and i know it was MY girlfriend posing as this person. don't ask how i know. i'm about 80% sure and i plan on confronting her about it soon. Posted 01/14/2009 10:17 AMReply
