If there are three things men love, they’re sports, fights, and hot girls. So what could be better than female athletes duking it out? Seriously, it doesn’t get much better than boobs and blows flying on the court, the gymnastics mat, etc., so here we recap the Best Catfights of Women’s Sports.

In 2008, Danica Patrick accused Milka Duno of blocking her path at a practice for the Honda Indy 200 race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The two got heated, Duno told Patrick to go away repeatedly, and eventually an exasperated Duno threw a towel at Patrick. We’d like to see more towel-snapping action in the locker room between these two racy racecar drivers.

During the 2006 Asian Cup semi-final between North Korea and China, North Korean goalie Hye Yong Han became so furious after a call was made against the Koreans that she chased down referee Anna De Toni and kicked her in the back. Han and two other players were suspended for violent conduct. Apparently Han likes it rough.

Australian runners Jana Pittman and Tamsyn Lewis were once best friends, but the tides turned after Lewis said that Pittman loved drama and Pittman fired back by saying that Lewis wanted to be a “bikini babe,” not a runner. After Lewis beat Pittman for the 2006 national title, she told Triple M radio, “Obviously, with the cat fight and bitch fight and whatever else was being said, and then after the heats, she came out and said that there was no competition. I was standing behind the blocks going, ‘I’ll give you no competition, bitch.’ I had a massive smile on my face when I did beat her.” Lewis may be our favorite bitchy wannabe bikini babe ever.

Patriotism, shmatriotism. Maria Sharapova has had her share of catfights with fellow Russian tennis stars like former French Open champ Anastasia Myskina, who in 2004 threatened to shun competition for her country if forced to be teammates with Sharapova, saying, “I don’t want to be on the same team with people who don’t show respect to me as a person. If she joins our team next season, you won’t see me there.”

Ten WNBA players were suspended after a Detroit Pistons-Los Angeles Sparks game erupted into a brawl. After Plennette Pierson and Candace Parker tried for opportune court positions during a free throw, Parker fell. When Pierson began stalking towards Parker, Parker punched her. Soon many players and Pistons coach Rick Mahorn got in on the action.

Women’s ice hockey forbids fighting, but in 2008 when the North Dakota Fighting Sioux played the Minnesota State Mavericks, the Sioux lived up to their name as a fight broke out by the goal.

In 1994, figure skater Tonya Harding ordered an attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan at the United States Championships. Kerrigan was clubbed in the knee but managed to recuperate in time for the Olympics and win the silver medal. Harding was later stripped of her title and banned from the United States Figure Skating Association. Talk about a cold war!

Okay, so cheerleading might not be a sport, but this is too good not to mention it. In 2006, former Carolina Panthers cheerleader Renee Thomas was charged with battery for her involvement in a fight which ensued after she was accused of having sex with fellow cheerleader Angela Keathley in a bar bathroom. Lesbian cheerleader sex? Catfight? Yes, please.
