As I said in the video, I’m not a nutritionist, dietitian etc and this is just what I eat and do after my eating disorder battles. I’m not telling anybody else what they should do, I’m simply sharing what I do as it was very highly requested – I know that people are curious and find inspiration from several sources, so if I can just be one of those and show that you CAN just ‘eat normally’, then I’ll be delighted! I’ll have lots of videos in 2015 about how to reach this point that I’m now at, but I need to have a foundation of these healthy habits videos there, to refer people to in the future, as it’s literally impossible to cover every single thing in a ten minute YouTube video 🙂 I wish I was magic, but alas, I am a mortal. I love to eat porridge in the morning. I put lot’s of seeds and nuts in it
and a bit of cinnamon. Sooo yummy! I want to cut out bread a bit more from
my diet, because I eat way too much of it, and I feel my stomach isn’t
liking it anymore.. But toast…Ah so good!! 😮 A person once gave me an
advice on eating food, because I used to just eat and eat and eat. He said
to me to think of food as petrol, when you need it, you fill the car up,
same with your body, when you are hungry – eat. It’s sad that I used to
revolve around food, forever eating my feelings away.. Haha 😀

I would like to see tons of healthy savoury (!) recipes. I want to change
my eating habit to a healthier way but most recipes I find are always sweet
(with milk, yoghurt, cinnamon, honey, etc) but I cant stand sweet food –
hate it

I’m so glad to see this. I have a very similar outlook on food as you. I
like that you don’t purposely exclude food groups. I feel like it’s a
really logical way to eat. I feel like when you deny yourself something you
end up wanting it more and binging on it.

Love this video! This diet is really retainable, since you’re still
allowing yourself to enjoy “unhealthy” things time to time without
over-eating them. I have a really similar diet, but me and my pasta are a
thing, too, you know?! 😀

Hello again Melanie! I know I almost always comment on all your videos but
you’re just one of the people who always gives such great tips and some of
my fellow subscribers do too. So anyway, I have a huge problem with my
metabolism. At a young age I too suffered from eating disorders. I never
eat anything even if it was healthy or not. I just did not like the thought
of eating, I had to run on vitamins and constant visits to the hospital
since I was THAT bad at keeping myself fed. Nowadays though, it kind of
backfired. I eat a lot of unhealthy food and I always say no to vegetables
even though I know that my body needs them. I always puke out my vegetables
and I don’t know why. Maybe my body is just used to eating meat and junk
food because as I was recovering from my eating disorder, those were what
my parents would feed me so that I could get food into my system. However,
I am really scared that my unhealthy diet would lead me to become even more
unhealthy. I only drink coffee in the morning because I don’t have much
time to eat breakfast (I have to go to school early) and either I skip a
meal or eat too much at a time. Sometimes I just survive off of pizza and
burgers. It’s scares me that I continue to do this because even my mom
scolded me about it. She was afraid I’d end up like her and my grandmother,
they were super skinny in high school but ended up getting bigger and
bigger as the grew older. She was also afraid that this would make me very
ill in the future. They didn’t want me to be that way even though I am born
bigger than they were (I think I got it from my dad) and I hardly get sick
now. Any advice on how I could break my bad habit? I hardly even grow now,
well except sideways (LOTR reference! Ha!) .

This is me right now. I’m trying to be healthy. I’ve started cooking my own
clean food and I go for an hour long run most days. I feel brilliant!
Bouncy is definitely how I feel and I love it. Studying is what I spend
most of my time doing these days so I make a big effort to go running
everyday and not get to caught up in it all. Different food videos would be
great as I love discovering new ideas! Xxx

You’ve inspired me to keep eating healthy. I wouldn’t say I had an eating
disorder but a couple years back when I was at my thinnest I was obsessed
with counting calories. Eventually it became too stressful and I stopped.
I’ve gained some weight and I’m trying to lose it and this is really
helping me keep on track and away from counting those pesky little calories
again. Love these healthy tip videos! All your videos are fab <3
