I recently went clubbing with my girl friends and had a great time. Unlike the clubs poor Lacy Hart went to, Toad’s Place in New Haven was not sketchy (much).

Sure, it was trashy and dirty but I still had a lot of fun. I had never been there before so I was excited to see what it was all about. It definitely lived up to the hype. There was a huge bar on one side and a huge dance floor on the other. It was a Saturday night so everyone from Quinnipiac was there, as well as some Yalies.

It took my friends and me a while to get into the mood but once we did, there was no stopping us. Despite the pushing, spilt drinks and slippery floor, we managed to enjoy ourselves until we got kicked out at 2 in the morning.

While my girl friends were looking to hook up with cute guys, I had no expectations since I already have a boyfriend. But guys still came up and danced with me. And surprisingly, that’s all they did – and well. No one felt me up or dry-humped me. One guy even asked my friends for their permission to dance with me.

Altogether, 5 guys danced with me and at least 1 of them wanted to do more than that but I respectfully declined. While the attention and flirting was flattering, there was still only one person I wanted to be with after all was said and done.
