Edwards Makes Bet with Phelps He Can't Win, Or Can He?

No, it's not about who has the better body, though that's up for debate...

Braylon Edwards has a lot of work to do (especially after managing just two catches for fourteen yards last Sunday) if he plans on winning the bet he made with Michael Phelps. The two, who met through Ann Arbor/UM connections, set the deal before Phelps went to Beijing. What were the terms? Braylon Edwards claimed he would score twice as many touchdowns as Phelps won gold medals. That means Edwards will have to match his total touchdown number from last year, sixteen, to tie, or improve upon it to win. So who ya got? Edwards or Phelps?

On a separate note, and millions of girls may hate me for this, but what is the appeal when it comes to Michael Phelps? Granted he’s high on the superficial aspects of the swimmer’s body, tons of money and celebrity status. But I watched him on Leno last night, and like his post-swim interviews, he seems a bit dopey. He’s got teeth that could crack mirrors, articulates about as well as Forrest Gump and has absolutely no sense of humor (to be officially determined this Saturday when he hosts SNL). He doesn’t even have an accent! Call it jealousy from someone without all the screaming girls throwing panties his way, but I just don’t get it. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

Edwards doesnt stand a chance. He'll be lucky at this point to get 17 receptions let alone TD's I bet him this morning -500 not to get 17 TD's at this site:

Cheap price. This time last year he already had 2 TD"s this year...zilch!
