Well done for keeping it up! I have lost 19.5lbs in five weeks so I’m
delighted (but I have a lot to lose!) I write a blog post on it every
Sunday. I have a FitBit Flex and I do find My Fitness Pal a really useful
tool as you can just scan the food. Looking forward to your next update

Oh no!!!!! Now I just want to try that Frappuccino! :)

Walking or running on a treadmill ALWAYS caused plantar fascists for me!!
And shin splints. I can run outside but not a treadmill. I hope you don’t
get it again I know it’s painful!! I wear the sketchers go walk at work and
it helps mine a good bit
Heather Nelson says
Big kudos to you for staying so accountable regarding your health and
fitness! That can be a struggle for me as I like to tell myself that I’m
more “on track” than I actually am. Tracking my food is hugely important
for me. It serves as a barometer for how well I am adhering to “clean
eating” and portion control. If I’m tracking my food, chances are I’m
eating well. If I’m not tracking, it’s like a dietary free-for-all (AKA
“bring on the cupcakes!”)
Jennifer Showalter says
I think you have a great attitude about the whole situation. When I decided
to change my lifestyle habits I did it to be healthy not supermodel thin
and this helped, and continues to help me with the process. If I did it
just to be thin I would have given up a long time ago. I’ve maintained my
25 pound weight loss for a year now, got my diabetes under control, reduced
my thyroid medication, and came off of cholesterol meds just for starters.
You will get there.. One day at a time!!

Hey girl, this video was really inspiring! I’m always thinking of how I
want to raise my kids in a healthy lifestyle and watching you talk about
being a good role model for your daughter almost made me tear up, I’m so
emotional lol. I grew up being a junk food addict, bless my parents – they
tried, and some lifestyle changes that have really helped me are: Drinking
LOTS of water and 2-3 cups of tea a day. and finding substitutes for junk
food! For example, instead of ice cream you can make a smoothie with frozen
bananas, cocoa powder, a little bit of peanut butter and almond milk. or
you can make cookies with bananas, applesauce and no refined sugars. Anyway
this was a novel, but keep up the good work!

Bravo! Glad that you are getting a lot of support. Journaling is definitely
the best way to educate yourself about what works for you. I also love huge
salads, WeightWatchers 0 points soup (you can make a huge pot at a time)
and check out Mark Bittman’s VB6 (Vegan before Six). It works. In 2000 I
weighed 245 and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I now weigh 195 (I’m
5’10”) and would like to take off another 20 lbs. but my diabetes is under
tight control. A friend of mine said it helps her to think of sugar and
white flour as a kind of heroin. Have an iced green tea instead of that
frappacino – Starbucks won’t go broke, and you’ll have more energy! Best…

You are so right your health has a huge impact on your children. Have a
great week Debbie

Oh my gosh, I am totally with you on the s’mores frapp. I also began my
better health journey in January. I lost about 17lbs before my May and now
halfway through June funk started. I’ve really been trying to get back into
it the past couple weeks. It’s been a slow process but this video was just
the kick I needed right now. Thanks for the inspiration!
DFWBeauty says
Thanks for sharing 🙂 I think it’s a struggle for most of us. And omg! Yes
those fraps are everything 🙂 I can totally say it’s justifiable once a
week 😉 xoxo
Trish Y says
Keep it up girl! I’m right with ya❤️
Deb InPEI says
I think baby steps and no deadlines are the best way to go; I am on a
lifestyle journey and lost 19.5 with just modifying my eating habits and
drinking more water so now, I am motivated to amp it up with exercise and
really making better choices ; )
I have a weakness for Starbucks fattening drinks so I only treat myself on
paydays which is every two weeks and I consider that a big deal for me.
Kudos to you for setting the example for your little one ; )
Brittney Lyn says
I think it’s very admirable to teach Stella about healthy self image. I
witnessed my thin aunt complaining about her weight to my young female
cousin and I couldn’t help but think about how unhealthy that was!
Becky Nelson says
I always tell myself I need to figure out what I’m making the week ahead
and plan on Sundays and never get around to it. I hear ya! No worries
about ups and downs, you only live once and you should enjoy yourself. Do
your best, do what makes you happy :)
Kristen Kay says
It’s really good that you’re focusing on being healthy and being a good
example for stella 🙂
ps. that s’mores frappe chino sounds so yummy!
mamalovesmascara says
Girly I hear ya!! Especially hits home in the mommy department with my
girls too. I have to get back to healthy so bad. My mind gets the best of
me. Good for you for getting back on the exercise wagon! Omgosh the mocha
coconut!! Yum!! It’s on the fridge store bottles. Love it! Lol xox
