The truth about health & fitness.
We are surrounded daily by things we see and hear that affect us, especially on social media as we spend more & more time on it. So unfortunately we often pick up on statements or pictures that are not directed at us & as a result we act on them due to our insecurities or ambitions.
We’ve noticed a few trends in social media & information that people put out which doesn’t make happier healthier people, it creates insecurities and unhappiness. Things like selling workout plans with the statement “look like me” when you have not been honest telling people you are taking steroids, this is dishonest and sets people up for a fall.
We only see a fraction of a second in time with pictures, and the picture you see is probably the best of a big bunch of shots taken. So when we constantly see these guys and girls looking perfect it makes us feel we should look that way and that it’s normal & that’s just not the case.
We want you to look and to feel the way that makes you feel happy, that may well be having a six pack or it maybe doing yoga it doesn’t matter as your goals are specific to you.
We want to make you aware of a few things that are potentially going to slow you down in your goals so you can avoid them and be happier while doing them.

I so needed to hear this! Great video, thanks for the honesty!! Been
feeling pressured to be stick skinny & been getting frustrated that I’m not
seeing results, a lot of this hit home with me, think I’m just going to
enjoy what I’m doing from now on 🙂

Love genuine people, this just reinforces what makes a good youtube
channel, transparent, helpful and sharing really key ideas to better the
way we live our lives. Inspiring and honest as always. Keep up the
fantastic work lads :)

Love this video. Thank you guys for reminding me of what is important. I am
four month post partum and I keep thinking that I should work out more and
worrying about when I will have time to work out when I go back to working
full time… this really helped me !

You are so right!! I love to work out because it makes me feel sooo good,
even if I’m tired or I’m having a day when I kinda don’t feel good about my
body. After my workouts I immediately feel so great! It’s hard work, I’m
literally dead afterwards but it makes my soul feel so much better. And I
honestly do believe that everyone should experience this feeling at least
once. For me it was a long way until I felt like really good after my
workout, but it’s so worth it. All about the right mind set.
Oh and of course I’m one step closer to my “perfect” body. Just to make it
clear, I really love my body and the shape and everything. I’m just trying
to improve. So you are totally right – you have to be happy in the present
moment, because abs or big arms won’t make you happy at all!

I see these really fit six pack guys, and good on them….but my goal as a
type 2 diabetic is just to slim down, tone up and be healthier in the mind
as well….going to the gym for me is an escape. Great video

Great video! I was literally looking at buying a fitness plan i found on
instagram just before i watched this video. Made me think twice. I decided
if i want results, i’d want to be able to say i did it all by myself (with
of course the help from your videos) quick question… I’ve just recently
started lifting weights. Before it was just cardio but i’m starting to add
on weights. I’m starting small with numbers but how long do i wait to
increase the number of kg?

my interpretation on happiness, now I can enjoy life, thank you.

Do you think that AthleanX also is a lie? Is Jeff Cavaliere taking steroids
do you think? Because if that’s the case i’ve just wasted like a hundred
quid…..

This video carries such a great message. I worry for young teenagers that
see skinny models in magazines that have been airbrushed and nipped and
tucked in every way possible are going to think that they have to look like
this to be attractive and accepted by the world.
We’re all different. All have different interests and likes/dislikes. No
one should be made to feel like they need to conform to a social trend such
as bodybuilding or anything in relation to this.
People may think they’re living a healthy lifestyle when really the immense
pressure they’re putting themselves under to achieve drastic goals can have
quite adverse affects on their health. Just do what you love 🙂

Thanks! Although I certainly need to lose weight, I train with my coach 3
days a week so I can be strong and stay above the ground for as long as I
can. I have found that the gym can be intimidating – but the consistent
effort, showing up each workout ready to go, not complaining has not only
made me stronger BUT has made me happier. I still have a long way to go to
get to a healthy weight but there is a satisfaction that comes from a
successful workout and slow, steady progress. You guys are awesome and
your message and consistent encouragement are appreciated!
